But Dave, I thought you were going to post reviews of Speccy homebrew games on Retrostreamers, it’s been ages, what’s up?
Well thank you Dave for asking such an interesting question in third person. Aside from being super busy at work & at home (real life getting in the way again!) one of the reasons I’ve not been posting reviews like I said I would is that I’ve been working on a top secret project that I’m hoping can be revealed in the next few weeks.
Sadly it’s not a new Speccy game (although I do want to make more at some point) but it is Speccy related.
Aside from this top secret project I’ve also spent some time having a lovely chat with Vinny Mainolfi, creator of the excellent Freeze magazines.
Although historically Freeze has been based around the c64, Vinny is launching a brand new mag centered around the greatest 8-bit computer of all time, the ZX Spectrum.

FreezeZX will launch this Summer, but is available to pre-order right the heck now. It looks set to be packed full of Speccy related gubbins.
Having had a quick peek at some of the content & catching up with a few back issues of it’s c64 counterpart, I KNOW it’s going to be fantastic!
So why not treat yourself by pre-ordering here and be one of the cool kids who get on board right from the first issue:
I’ll post about the other thing in the next week or two.
Alright, about time too! I alwayss avoided Freeze simple because its too dang brown for me and the sensible Cowboys! This one though, I can get behind!
Hehe definitely. A quality publication, and now it’s covering a quality machine!
